It’s just my luck I’m a lazy fuck. I won’t get off my butt, but I can still get it up. I am a little sticky, but I’m not stuck. I’ve got so much to do, but everything sucks. I’d get dressed, but I can’t stand to tuck. I’d get out of town, but I don’t got a truck. It’s just my luck I’m a lazy fuck.

Here’s a little glimpse into my process. First a rough pencil sketch. Then a few weeks later after some thought, an environment emerges. I want something more graphic and dramatic for the typography, and the composition could use a little more work, so this will probably not be the end to this story.

Firing up the studio after a long absence can be a lot of work, but I find it to be a lot easier if I simplify what it is I’m trying to say both visually and conceptually. These two guys represents all of the frustration I have these days towards my sexuality. Both “yes” and “no” seems to make sense right now. Happy Pride!

This drawing started with the thought of two dudes showing off each other’s dicks to each other in a bro kinda way, but as the pencil hit the paper it transformed into a tender romance of two cocks discovering each other for the first time. Like “oh wow! You’re just like me but different!” One more thick and stiff, the other pert and flexible. One bigger than the other. The way the image is cropped leads to interpretation. There’s a mystery to it. And I can’t think of a better image to represent PRIDE for UMM in 2022.
